With all this in mind I thought it would be a good idea
if we could document some of the history of the trade before
it disappears.
I have been promised some photographs old and
not so old so when I get them this is where they will be.
I will be the first to admit that I do not always get on well with the
Evening Post, but this collection of pictures and stories is wonderful.
The Evening Post's Bristol Times.

This first one is of Richard Gardner's grandfather in his cab. I hope we can get
more information on the date , car and so on. I think this is a great picture.
George William Scott ( Feb 1883 - June 1941)

A "T" type Ford cab registration AE 6942.
This looks like the city centre and is that the old Co op building in the
left background.
I think George would need a good coat like the one he is wearing
on the cold wet nights in his open cab.
Thank you Maureen and Clive Hole also to Ms D Scott for allowing me to use this picture.

Morris Trott and Bernard ? (Yogi){ left }.Morris is no longer with us but
Yogi is still well. I remember Yogi getting stabbed in the back through the
seat one night, he ran after the person and caught them even though he was
bleeding. I remember Morris being a happy man with a wonderful smile.

Do you know these cab drivers?
From the left
